Alongside the park shutting on Friday 23rd October, it may unfortunately be necessary between Wednesday 21st October and Saturday 24th October to temporarily shut some of our larger trails for safety. The upcoming weather system, Storm Austen, has the potential to inflict some serious winds over the next few days across the park, with steady winds of around 30mph and gusts predicted to top 60mph , so trails such as Full Monty, Punchline, 23 Jump St and Sam’s line are liable to be closed if the winds hit dangerous levels.
We try not to shut trails wherever possible, however when the weather can adversely affect rider safety we feel it is best for all to close them to ensure everyone is safe.
